HVAC Service Technician Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Key Responsibilities HVAC Installation, Maintenance & Repair (100%) Install, service, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in residential and commercial environments. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system performance issues and provide effective solutions. Perform preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency. Maintain adequate inventory of tools, parts, and materials needed to complete service calls. Complete service documentation, invoices, daily route sheets, and other required reports accurately and timely. Collect customer payments and payment information when applicable. Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained, organized, and in good working condition. Participate in cross‑training opportunities and support additional operational needs as required. Customer Service Excellence Deliver a best‑in‑class customer experience through professionalism, responsiveness, and technical expertise. Clearly explain repair recommendations, maintenance needs, and service options to customers. Resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively while maintaining a positive attitude. Operate company and personal vehicles in compliance with applicable traffic laws and company guidelines. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Utilize proper safety equipment and procedures during all service and installation activities. Qualifications Required Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience Minimum of 5 years of residential HVAC service and refrigeration experience. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required Licenses & Certifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must be insurable and able to meet company driving requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience using mobile field service applications, tablets, or estimating software. Additional HVAC certifications are a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Ability to work in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions.
