Respiratory Therapist - Night ShiftThe Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory support and patient transport as medically prescribed. This role involves evaluating patients and recommending treatment plans, while also educating patients about procedures, treatments, and necessary post-discharge care.ResponsibilitiesAdminister physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, aerosol devices, and nebulizers.Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning through different methods (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal).Conduct oximetry and capnography monitoring as per policy.Review chest x-rays to determine the need for further evaluation.Perform pulmonary function studies and assist with respiratory care-related procedures (e.g., Bronchoscopy, Perc Trachs, Chest Tube placement).Provide adequate drainage of the chest via PleurX catheter where applicable.Perform tracheostomy care, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes.Conduct arterial punctures and monitor ventilation efficiency.Follow policies related to laboratory testing, including specimen handling and quality controls.Execute cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.Insert and remove endotracheal tubes using both freehand techniques and video laryngoscope systems.Set up and perform self-tests on all ventilatory equipment, maintaining and monitoring mechanical ventilation.Record all treatment relevant information and communicate with the healthcare team regarding therapy efficacy.Ensure accurate respiratory therapy charging and data entry.Perform other duties as assigned.ScheduleThis is a Night 3x12.0 schedule position.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
