Global Payroll - Associate / Assistant Vice President

About the RoleiCapital is seeking a motivated Payroll professional to join the growing Corporate Finance team. This role will assist the Global Payroll Team in managing the company’s current in-house and outsourced payrolls, provide payroll insight and services to employees and partners, and help execute related processes and payroll data management. This individual will gain experience for a global payroll career that rewards versatility, and strong detail-orientation. This role also offers the opportunity to collaborate on important projects within Corporate Finance.ResponsibilitiesAssist with Global Payroll (US, Canada, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Portugal, Switzerland, and Japan).Reconcile all changes that affect pay which include salary adjustments, location changes, leaves, and returns, bonuses and commissions, deductions, and one-time payments such as referral awards, relocation stipends, and severance payments.Review and finalize timesheets for a small population of US non-exempt employees.Manage other pay inputs such as garnishments and deduction corrections as needed.Manage the day-to-day relationship with payroll service partners, including correspondence, ad-hoc requests, escalation, and troubleshooting.Assist the Global Payroll team with reconciling and approving payrolls timely and accurately, in partnership with Corporate Finance.Manage ongoing state employment tax requirements with tax providers and any other global compliance filings and requirementsAssist with global year-end processes to ensure all are accurate and timely.Coordinate data for audit responses for periodic internal and external payroll audits and compliance reporting, including 401(k) and Workers Compensation.Be the initial point of contact for all payroll-related issues from employees. Monitor a payroll email inbox, ticketing service and educate employees with clear, helpful responses.Embrace the opportunity to gain experience with new software and improve key processes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field of studyCertified Payroll Certification (CPP) designation is strongly preferredDayforce experience is strongly preferredExperience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role managing multi-state payroll. Global experience a plusIn-depth knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, and compliance requirementsStrong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax lawsProficiency in using payroll software and related tools; experience with automated payroll systems is highly desirableExceptional diligence and accuracy in handling sensitive dataExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skillsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex payroll concepts to employees and stakeholdersAble to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with professionalism and integrityHigh level of organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesContinuous learning mindset and willingness to adapt to evolving payroll practices and technologiesBenefitsThe base salary range for this role is $ 90,000 to $ 130,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
