As a Senior CRC, you will be accountable for seeking and completing clinical trial assignments in an autonomous, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with the SOP's, COG's and ICH guidelines. You will maintain communication with the Manager of Clinical Operations with regards to recruitment, training, quality assurance or other concerns with the coordination of clinical trials. This position is accountable for taking on additional network responsibilities such as training, quality assurance and business development.This role is with Accellacare, part of ICON's clinical research network, where you'll play a key role in transforming the clinical trial experience for patients and sponsors alike. Our global site network is designed with one goal in mind: to deliver better access, greater efficiency, and improved outcomes in clinical research.Location: Full-Time Onsite at Accellacare Duly Health & Care (Primary Site: Lisle, IL but will travel to other Duly sites within the Accellacare Site Network)Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm (no weekends or holidays)What You Will Be Doing:Performing study start-up duties including the production of a recruitment plan, recruitment tool, and progress notes, as well as phone screening patientsAnticipating and planning for the logistical needs and requirements for any clinical trial, and assisting CRC Level I and Level II with the planning and conduct of trialsAnticipating the specific recruitment needs and constantly evaluating the recruitment needs for any clinical trial and communicating recruitment efforts to the Manager of Clinical OperationsDeveloping and executing recruitment plans that generate randomized patients and maximizing patient retention ratesAttending investigator meetingsCompletes training on Clinical Trial Management System and maintains proper skills to update database, complete participant reimbursement, capture referral source of participants, and create calls lists to promote recruitmentPerforming technical requirements of the study protocol and training others in regards to technical requirements of a protocol, i.e., lab work (phlebotomy and processing), blood pressure, electrocardiograms, Holtor monitoring, pulmonary function testing, allergy testing, urine/serum pregnancy testing, strep throat screening, maintaining hep-locks or any procedure necessary for the protocol as ordered by the Investigator or specified by a protocolPerforming continuous reviews of the inclusion and exclusion criteria for each patient during the screening periodDocumenting laboratory data and adverse reactions, presenting this information to an investigator in a timely manner, and immediately notifying investigators, the Institutional Review Board and sponsor of any serious adverse eventsDispensing study medication at the direction of the InvestigatorEstablishing relationships with patient volunteers, and participating in patient education regarding the clinical trial process and providing specific trial information to the participant as well as conducting the informed consent processWorking with investigators by communicating the status of patients referred, overall recruitment status, and clinical needs of the studyMaintaining communication with the monitor from the sponsoring company through telephone contact, written communication, and on-site visitsEstablishing strong relationships with monitors and sponsorsProactively promoting the site with monitors and in-house contacts for future trialsEngaging in prospecting for new potential business with our current customers and new customersDeveloping new physician relationships, and enhancing or leveraging the involvement of our current physician investigatorsInternal monitoring and review of other coordinators and support staffAttending site evaluation visits as a senior staff representativeAssisting in the training and development of support and other site personnelTravel to other Duly sites within the Accellacare Site NetworkYour Profile:Oncology Clinical Research industry experience3+ years of experience as a Clinical Research CoordinatorClinical skills, such as phlebotomyGood understanding of clinical trial processes, GCP, and site documentation requirementsExcellent time management and planning skills with an organized approach to workBachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field
