Schedule

• Part-time (approximately 24 hours per week)
• Monday, Thursday, and Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Opportunity for additional hours and potential full-time employment as the practice continues to grow.
• Opportunity for advancement into a management role in the future.

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays an essential role in delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the daily operations of the clinic. This position requires excellent clinical skills, outstanding customer service, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients while providing exceptional customer service.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist the provider with procedures.
• Administer medications and injections within the LPN scope of practice.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
• Start and monitor IV infusions (IV Therapy Certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Assist with occupational health services including drug testing, breath alcohol testing, and work-related examinations (training provided as needed).
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, wellness services, and follow-up care.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms while ensuring appropriate inventory and supplies are available.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols.
• Assist with front-office duties when needed, including scheduling, answering phones, and patient check-in/check-out.
• Help create a welcoming, positive experience for every patient.
• Contribute to practice growth through teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

Required

• Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (and ability to maintain throughout employment).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Preferred

• IV Therapy Certification.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Occupational Health experience.
• DOT Urine Specimen Collector and/or Breath Alcohol Technician certification.
