IMI is currently looking for a painter helper located in the Athens, GA area. The Painter Helper will assist with senior employees.
Duties of the Painter will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist senior employees with painting equipment and structures for protection and cosmetic purposes.
- Assist in the application of protective coverings to articles or areas that could be damaged or stained by work processes.
- Able to operate forklifts to transport material.
- Accurately apply basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and conversion of fractions and decimals.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Eye-hand coordination
- Good physical fitness
- Good sense of balance
- Must be able to pass certain health requirements for respirator use to remain in the paint area.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Degree from an accredited technical school; may be substituted with previous experience as a painter or in a related field.
