Phlebotomist
$17.75 - $26 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Edgewater, Maryland patient service center. The role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, managing patient data, and delivering customer service across a Monday-Friday morning schedule with alternating Saturday shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and other analyses
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately and timely
- Prepare specimens for testing and process billing information
- Provide customer service and perform administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- Minimum 3 months phlebotomy experience (or certification in lieu)
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to additional sites
Compensation: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour
