Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Our skilled nursing facility is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for PRN positions. About the Facility NORTH CAMPUS is located in Leesburg, FL, and offers a modern, comfortable, and secure facility staffed by caring professionals. We provide sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services and 24‑hour skilled nursing care in an environment of respect and dignity. Summary The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for facilitating the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for patients who come through our facility. Responsibilities Creating, administering, and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients. Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement. Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or avoid personal misunderstandings. Communicating with the dietary department regarding rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallowing dysfunction. Requirements Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of employment. Current CPR certification. At least one year of skilled nursing experience preferred. Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence. Passionate about post‑acute rehabilitation and the older adult population. Ability to relate and interact positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, family, professionals, and facility staff.
