Job Description
The food runner bridges the kitchen and the dining room. They deliver food orders from chefs to guests quickly and accurately, clear dirty dishes, and support servers to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
Compensation:$15.16 - $16 hourly
Responsibilities:Deliver hot meals from the kitchen to the correct guest tables safely and fast.
Check plates for proper presentation, garnishes, and special dietary requests.
Communicate guest feedback or urgent requests between the floor and the kitchen.
Clear used plates, glassware, and silverware to help reset tables.
Refill water glasses, bring extra condiments, or assist servers as needed.
Keep service stations, trays, and tray stands clean and restocked.
Stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for long shifts.
Memorize table numbers and the restaurant layout.
Speak clearly and work well in a fast-paced team.
Maintain a polite and professional attitude with guests.
Follow basic food safety and hygiene rules.
