Materials Planner

Materials PlannerLocation: Landisville, PA Regular Employee Salary: $75,000.00 - 85,000.00Job ResponsibilitiesManage assigned parts, including all problem resolution. Coordinate engineering changes and build schedules with production to meet customer expectations while minimizing surplus exposure. Analyze MRP daily and weekly to create releases. Launch, schedule, defer, expedite, and cancel work orders to maintain inventory levels while supporting production material requirements. Monitor and update work order lead-times for system accuracy. Proactively confirm schedules against work orders and act if necessary. Monitors shortage reports and create work orders to cover demand. Obtain realistic build dates on shortages, follow-up as appropriate. Validate and perform root cause analysis for incomplete work orders. Proactively identify material shortages and implement appropriate actions internally to mitigate the risk of potentially disrupting production. Work with Purchasing, and Operations to determine and implement appropriate inventory levels, minimum work order requirements, economic order quantities, and lead times. Assist in all activities pertaining to inventory accuracy and inventory reduction including Min/Max systems, where applicable. Follow established procedures; initiate and implement improvements. Other tasks as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business required (or willing to obtain with equivalent work experience). Minimum of 3 years material planning experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams. Intermediate computer skills are required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
