Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: SLC, UT

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Description: As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac, neuro, and other complex medical conditions. You will ensure high-quality patient-centered care through effective communication, teamwork, and clinical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor telemetry for cardiac patients.
• Manage vasoactive drips and provide respiratory support (including high-flow oxygen therapy and BiPAP).
• Perform patient assessments and assist with procedures such as TEE and cardioversions.
• Participate in rapid response situations and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Conduct hourly rounding and bedside shift report to enhance patient experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have current RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Experience with telemetry and management of progressive care patients is essential.
