Job Title: Travel RN - L&D Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN license Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, EFM-C or AWHONN Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery experience Comfortable with unblocked/unepiduralized patients Strong collaboration skills with physicians, midwives, and doulas Description: This role involves providing care in the Labor & Delivery unit. You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients. The unit has a capacity of 16 beds and a staff of 40. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:2 but can fluctuate based on acuity. You will be involved in various procedures such as cerclages, versions, c-sections, vaginal deliveries, D&C's, care of fetal demise, and epidurals. The ability to circulate a c-section and care for both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients is required. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, collaboration, and providing exceptional patient care. Candidates must showcase a cheerful disposition and strong leadership skills.
