Travel Nursing Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090–$2,200 Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown / MedSurg Stepdown / Progressive Care Healthcare Setting: Acute care, 34-bed cardiac stepdown and medical-surgical unit Contract Length: 13 weeks Location: Morgantown, West Virginia Start Date: October 11, 2026 End Date: January 10, 2027 Nursing Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; weekends and holidays as scheduled Shift Duration: 12 hours Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Electronic Medical Record: Epic Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in West Virginia At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience; cardiac stepdown, progressive-care, PCU, or telemetry nursing experience preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong telemetry knowledge with the ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms Recent experience caring for acute medical-surgical or cardiac stepdown patients Ability to safely manage and titrate intravenous medication drips Flexibility to work scheduled weekends and holidays and float when clinical needs require Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown and medical-surgical environment Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly Monitor telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond appropriately to clinical changes Administer medications and manage titratable infusions according to established protocols Collaborate with providers, respiratory therapists, nursing assistants, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team Complete accurate nursing documentation in Epic while promoting patient safety and continuity of care Support patients and families through education, care coordination, and discharge planning Apply now for this Cardiac Stepdown RN travel nursing contract in Morgantown, West Virginia, and join a collaborative acute-care healthcare team.
