The Business Intelligence & Planning Department is dedicated to empowering informed decision‑making and driving strategic growth through comprehensive financial planning, data‑driven insights, and governance excellence. Role Description As a Planning & Reserving Associate, you will play an integral role in supporting the company's financial planning and reserving processes. You will work hands‑on with data to build, update, and maintain financial plans, including working through prior year plans and refining them for current use. You'll assist in reviewing actuarial reserving outputs and incorporating feedback to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs. In this role, you will create and maintain reports, analyze results, and respond to questions from stakeholders regarding financial plans and reporting outputs. You'll collaborate across departments to gather inputs, ensure consistency in data, and support the development of planning exhibits and projections. This position offers strong exposure to financial analysis, reporting, and actuarial concepts, giving you the opportunity to build technical expertise while contributing to meaningful business decisions in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment. Responsibilities Support financial planning and reserving processes. Build, update, and maintain financial plans. Review actuarial reserving outputs and incorporate feedback. Create and maintain reports and analyses. Respond to stakeholder questions regarding financial plans and reporting outputs. Collaborate across departments to gather inputs and ensure data consistency. Support development of planning exhibits and projections. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field is required. Required Qualifications Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future. This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to perform VLOOKUPs, create pivot tables, and write custom formulas. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a team‑oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications 1 or more years of relevant professional experience in an accounting, reporting, or data-focused role. Public accounting experience or corporate accounting experience. Basic knowledge of the insurance industry and financial processes. Exposure to financial analysis, forecasting, or actuarial concepts. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
