Job Description The Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Intensive Support Specialist provides outstanding person-centered intensive support services to a small caseload of adults who have current or historical substance use treatment needs, a diagnosed severe and persistent mental health disorder, and who have experienced multiple hospitalizations. Services are comprehensive, integrated, community-based and delivered through a multidisciplinary approach to provide psychiatric treatment, social services, and rehabilitation. This position reports directly to the Behavioral Health Services Manager and supports the development and maintenance of effective, professional working relationships with stakeholders and other community service providers. The role offers flexible hours and the option to work remotely for administrative tasks and when video services are appropriate. The Intensive Support Specialist regularly meets with individuals in their homes, community, hospitals, crisis units, criminal justice settings, and at Bluebonnet Trails’ clinics to provide specialized case management and rehabilitative skills training services. Services aim to stabilize mental health symptoms, reduce risk of recidivism, increase community participation, develop self‑advocacy, and support participation in independent behavioral health services. The clinician is an integral part of a strong team that shares frequent updates on the recovery process. The clinician receives specialized training and professional development focused on a small caseload of individuals who have been hospitalized multiple times, and works with a state-of-the-art electronic medical record. For additional details on other rewards and compensation, including our excellent benefits package and generous leave accruals, visit Location Round Rock, TX (Williamson County) Compensation Hourly Salary Range: $22.21 – $31.46 Salary Amount: $46,196.00 – $65,436.00 per year Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, or early childhood education/intervention. Experience in behavioral healthcare, intensive community treatment, and substance use, abuse, and dependency treatment. Valid Texas Driver's License and meet Bluebonnet Trails Community Services driving requirements; maintain approved driving status throughout employment. If degree not in a Human Services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a Human Services field is required. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with an Assertive Community Treatment program, behavioral health, and/or case management. Advanced degree in a Human Services field.
