Senior Data Engineer

About the Role As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be a crucial member of our Engineering team, driving our mission to leverage data as a strategic asset. You’ll collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including product, operations, and analytics, to build and sustain the data infrastructure that powers our decision‑making processes. In this role you will own our data pipeline, designing, implementing, and maintaining large‑scale data solutions and ETL pipelines. You will lead the engineering team to ensure all code produces meaningful, performant data, powering both client‑facing reporting and internal strategy. Core Objectives Build and maintain high‑quality data solutions and large‑scale pipelines that process vast amounts of data. Optimize data flow and collection for cross‑functional teams. Design core data objects and models for the entire company. Implement and maintain data quality checks and monitoring systems. Develop client‑facing reporting solutions. Create metrics datasets and dashboards to support data‑driven decisions. Collaborate across teams to improve data quality while delivering user‑centric experiences. Technical Skills 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering. Programming proficiency in Python. Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases. Proven experience in data modeling and database design. Experience with ETL design, implementation, and maintenance. Knowledge of data warehousing solutions, particularly Snowflake. Understanding of development workflows and best practices. Professional Skills Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Adaptability to learn and work with new technologies. Passion for maintaining high data quality standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience with data quality management and monitoring tools. Familiarity with AWS services. Familiarity with data visualization techniques and tools. Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and tools. Experience with real‑time data streaming platforms. Familiarity with DBT and Airflow. Job Compensation Range The salary range for this role is $240,000 – $300,000.
