This facility provides adult cardiac surgical services and supports a range of general operating room cases in an inpatient and OR setting. The institution operates with a single CT surgeon and maintains the staffing and resources necessary to deliver cardiac and general surgical anesthesia services. Clinical operations are conducted on-site to ensure continuous coverage for scheduled and urgent cardiac procedures.

Southwest Michigan offers a range of outdoor and cultural attractions for clinicians on assignment. The region features the Saugatuck Dune Rides, the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, nature and wildlife areas, and access to a dog-friendly beach. Visitors can explore sand dunes, hike nature trails, and visit a clay pit, providing opportunities for both outdoor recreation and cultural exploration.

The adult cardiac anesthesiologist will provide anesthesia services for approximately 10 cardiac cases and 4-5 TAVR procedures per month under an independent model, with each MDA managing their own cases. The clinician will support general adult OR cases during periods without scheduled cardiac procedures, maintaining continuous coverage. Shift structure includes day shifts, call, and 24-hour call with a 1:3 call ratio; occasional planned weekend cardiac cases occur approximately once per month. The position requires board certification in anesthesiology and on-site presence throughout all assigned coverage periods.
