Registered Nurse, Cardiology Arrhythmia Center, 30 Hours (Days)

The Arrhythmia Center RN supports outpatient cardiology and remote cardiac monitoring services within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on monitoring patients with cardiac implantable devices, reviewing cardiac telemetry, communicating clinically significant findings, and coordinating patient care through phone and electronic communication. Position Summary The registered nurse adheres to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care. The role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum. The registered nurse is accountable for clinical, educational, quality and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department and in accordance with established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice. Position Details Registered Nurse – Cardiology, Arrhythmia Center Schedule: 30 Hours (Days) Essential Responsibilities / Duties Responsibilities include Epic EMR in-basket management, medication refill coordination, telephone triage, patient documentation, and completion of clinical forms. The RN works closely with providers and support staff to support efficient clinical operations and high-quality patient care. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, organized, technologically proficient, and interested in developing expertise in cardiology and arrhythmia management. Remote Cardiac Monitoring Support and coordinate remote monitoring for patients with pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and implantable loop recorders. Interpret cardiac telemetry and communicate significant arrhythmia findings to providers in a timely manner. Support patient compliance by managing device advisories and disconnected monitors. Assist with Holter monitor application and provide patient education. Education and Qualifications Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years. Registration and current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing required. Requires current basic life support (BLS) certification; some units may require Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification. Additional certifications may be required for certain practice areas. Experience in Cardiology EP lab/Arrhythmia Center preferred. Basic computer proficiency including ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information. Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to facilitate interactions with the health care team, patients, and families. Multilingual skills beyond English preferred. Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement research utilization projects. Ability to delegate patient care activities appropriately. Physical ability to meet the core job responsibilities in accordance with practice setting demands. Ability to manage stress related to patient care and organizational changes. Compensation Range $38.05–$75.33 per hour. Compensation is based on the minimum job qualifications and includes education, experience, licensure, and certifications.
