Manufacturing Engineer, Kingston, NY area.

Provide manufacturing engineering support to operations and production teams as needed.

• Maintain the integrity of manufacturing data systems, including change orders, non-conformance tracking, routings, and related documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with departmental, site, and corporate objectives for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
• Conduct time studies for assembly processes to establish accurate routings and optimize process balancing.
• Define, set up, prepare, and optimize job orders, manufacturing processes, and tooling.
• Provide technical support to customers as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate product feasibility, and improve manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manufacturing equipment specifications, and test specifications.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and material lists.
• Develop and deliver training on processes, procedures, documentation, and traceability to build and maintain workforce competency within assigned manufacturing cells.
• Maintain reliable and predictable attendance while contributing effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or operations environment.

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 6S methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency in  Microsoft Excel and Word, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and SolidWorks .
• Working knowledge of  ERP systems ; experience with Encompix is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management experience, including leading process improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to implement Lean manufacturing practices and drive measurable improvements in an operational environment.
• Salary range, $80k to $95k or select a long-term contract assignment ($40.00/hr to $48.00/hr) with a conversion arrangement.
