Dental HygienistPrairie Band Health Service is seeking a Dental Hygienist to provide exceptional healthcare services at Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Healthcare Center 100 Lake Traverse Drive Sisseton SD 57262.Details:Monday through FridayGreat staff and locationLocal or locums welcomed to applyHours of operation: normal clinic hours and shifts, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday except federal holidays.Duties:Performing full range periodontal therapy including supra and sub-gingival prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance and scaling/root planning.Hygienists provide patient education on oral hygiene, nutrition, and oral cancer prevention, while advocating patient comfort and effective treatment strategies.Hygienists are required to take appropriate radiographs, perform periodontal charting and provide chairside exam assistance with dentists.Clerical duties of maintaining patient records, and scheduling appointments Infection control duties include instrument reprocessing following applicable guidelines and service unit policies.Additional duties:Additional duties and responsibilities may be added to this job description at any time. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related responsibilities as requested by their supervisor.Requirements:Must have successfully completed an accredited dental hygiene program recognized by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)Possess and maintain a current, active, full, and unrestricted licenses to practice dental hygiene in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.Have three (3) years' experienceMaintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationIndian Preference ExercisedPrairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
