Overview We are looking for a highly motivated Reservoir Engineer with petroleum engineering experience, preferably with an oil and gas operator. You will work in a fast‑paced cross‑functional team to evaluate, market, and optimize a broad array of oil and gas assets. This role is an engineering position within the Energy Investment Banking platform of RBC Capital Markets. Responsibilities Serve as Acquisitions and Divestitures (A&D) engineer for project execution and business development. Proactively identify downside risks and upside opportunities in reservoir engineering and economic analysis. Prepare technical evaluations and presentations for management, including reserves evaluations, field studies, technical analyses for pitch books, executive summaries, and data room presentations. Present engineering analysis results in pitch and data room settings. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in petroleum or chemical engineering. 2–4 years of petroleum engineering experience, preferably with an operator. Operations/production experience is a plus. Proficiency in Spotfire and Microsoft Office. ARIES and PHDWin experience are a plus. Exposure to U.S. basins (Lower 48). Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must pass FINRA licensing exams (post‑hire).
