Sterile Compounding PharmacistThe Sterile Compounding Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and verifying sterile compounded medications in accordance with USP 797/800 standards, state regulations, and internal SOPs. The pharmacist will oversee cleanroom practices, perform quality checks, and collaborate with pharmacy technicians and compliance staff to ensure safe and accurate compounding processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and verify sterile compounded medications, including IVs, injectables, and ophthalmicsEnsure all compounding meets USP 797, 800, and state board pharmacy standardsSupervise and train sterile compounding technicians and cleanroom personnelMaintain accurate compounding records, logs, and labeling in pharmacy software systemsConduct final product verification and documentationOversee environmental monitoring and cleanroom workflow complianceParticipate in internal audits, CAPA reviews, and QA/QC reportingSupport pharmacist-in-charge duties as neededQualificationsPharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (from an ACPE-accredited institution)Valid Pharmacist License in the State of CaliforniaMinimum 1–2 years of experience in sterile compounding (hospital, 503B, or outpatient setting)Knowledge of USP 797, 800, and cleanroom protocolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to patient safetyProficient with pharmacy compounding software and documentation toolsBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysContinuing education support and licensure fee reimbursementLeadership track into Compounding Manager or QA/QC roles
