M365 Product Support Specialist The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) supports Ohioans and their families through a variety of programs. This role is part of the Office of Information Services (OIS), the largest and most complex IT organization in Ohio state government. Organization Job & Family Services Location The position is headquartered in an ODJFS facility at one of the following cities: Columbus, Akron, or Dayton. The city will be determined based on proximity to the applicant’s home address. Schedule & Hours Full‑time, Monday through Friday. Work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. What You Will Do Provide front‑line support for Microsoft 365 apps and services, including troubleshooting Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Office issues, and guiding users on core features and best practices. Monitor service health, report issues, manage licenses and basic configurations, and maintain user and group information. Maintain SharePoint sites by updating content, navigation, libraries, lists, permissions, metadata, and executing routine audits and cleanup. Support Power Platform by assisting with basic Power Apps development, creating simple Power Automate flows, guiding citizen developers, testing solutions, and maintaining component libraries and documentation. Create and maintain user guides, knowledge articles, training materials, tutorials, and communications on new features, service updates, and best practices. Track service metrics, usage, and adoption; generate routine reports; support compliance data collection, security monitoring, and maintain service catalogs. Support M365 governance by communicating policies, ensuring adherence to standards, contributing to governance documentation, and assisting with governance‑related projects and reviews. Stay current on Microsoft 365 roadmap updates and governance policies to support informed decision‑making and user guidance. Qualifications Option 1: 48 months combined work experience in installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, and/or administering multiple technology domains; plus 12 months experience in Office Productivity Suite. Option 2: Completion of an associate core program in computer science or information systems; 30 months combined work experience in the domains above; 12 months experience in Office Productivity Suite. Option 3: Completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 24 months combined work experience in the domains above; 12 months experience in Office Productivity Suite. Option 4: Equivalent to the minimum class qualifications for employment noted above. Starting salary will be the minimum of that pay range (step 1, $41.81 per hour). With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter.
