Overview PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Clinician to join the OB/GYN team. The ideal candidate enjoys inpatient work, assists in surgeries, and provides clinic care. Highlights Collegial team of 9 OB/GYN physicians State‑of‑the‑art birthing center with 2,200+ births per year Adjacent to Level III Neonatal ICU staffed by OHSU physicians Maternal/Fetal Medicine and Neonatology onsite 24/7 40 labor/delivery rooms 3 operating rooms OB hospitalists and OB anesthetists onsite 24/7 Clinic work averages 15‑18 patients per day Compensation First‑year salary: $148,678.40 – $177,486.40 (based on experience) Employment bonus Relocation assistance CME allowance Medical, dental, vision, disability, life, wellness benefits Retirement plan Essential Functions Conduct comprehensive and problem‑focused history and physical examinations; interpret and correlate laboratory and diagnostic studies to formulate diagnosis and treatment plans. Order, collect, and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures. Assist in surgery and provide ongoing assessment and follow‑up of patients. Perform procedures, diagnostics, and therapeutic interventions within scope of practice. Order, prescribe, and dispense medication and durable goods as permitted by state. Maintain required records and write progress notes on patient charts. Provide counseling on preventive care, medical problems, exercise, and use of prescribed medications and treatments. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Accredited Physician Assistant program required. Board certified by AAPA. Experience Minimum of 1 year; preferred experience as a Physician Assistant. Credentials Physician Assistant required. Basic Life Support upon hire. Skills Knowledge of age‑specific growth and development principles for patient care. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills for working productively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Commitment to ongoing educational growth and collaboration for patient quality improvement. Basic computer skills. Working Conditions Time spent on site in a medical/hospital setting. Vision and hearing within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
