Who You Are: A genuine passion for the mountain lifestyle, outdoor gear, and quality apparel Retail experience preferred - whether in a resort shop, specialty store, or similar environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, guest-first approach Strong organizational habits Comfortable working on a computer with a keen eye for detail Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume retail environment during peak season Eagerness to learn and stay current on new products, brands, and industry trends Must be fluent in English Weekend and holiday availability required What You’ll do: Deliver an exceptional shopping experience by greeting guests warmly, assessing their needs, and sharing genuine product knowledge Sell technical apparel, and accessories - training provided on all products and brands Learn and operate the RTP POS system; be able to sell any product across any resort retail location and assist in staff training Perform store open and close procedures Work with the team to maintain a visually appealing store environment through straightening, sizing, restocking, and light cleaning Assist with back-office product creation in the POS system Assist with inventory management including receiving product, tagging, folding, and organizing backstock Support restocking transfers between retail locations on foot and in POS system Assist with end-of season inventory procedure Stay current on new industry products and trends; proactively share that knowledge with guests and teammates Quickly and effectively resolve guest inquiries; elevate unresolved issues to the Retail Manager in a timely manner Embrace, promote, and comply with Sugar Bowl’s mission, values, policies, and procedures Perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager Physical Requirements: Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods during a full shift Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, including product boxes and inventory Able to bend, kneel, and reach for stocking, organizing, and display work Willing and able to perform snow removal and light shoveling around store entrances as needed Comfortable walking between retail locations on foot to support restocking transfers Employer sponsored 401k plan after 1,000 worked hours and one (1) year of service Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Free ski and tubing passes for employees 50% off food at our restaurants Free group ski and snowboard lessons for employees Employee discounted lift tickets for family and friends Lift ticket discounts at multiple resorts including 24 Mountain Collective destinations Hotel discounts Employee ski reciprocal programs Sugar Bowl Resort believes that all persons are entitled to equal employment opportunity and does not discriminate against its employees or applicants because of race, color, hair, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender orientation, gender expression, pregnancy, marital status, national origin, citizenship, veteran status, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, or any other status protected by federal, state or local law, ordinance or regulation.
