All Team Members are expected to support the entire park through cross-training, operational flexibility, and shared responsibilities. Maintaining a clean and safe environment is a core responsibility of every Team Member, regardless of primary department. Cross-training is a standard expectation of employment and does not automatically result in a pay increase. Job Summary Team Members provide hands-on support for park operations, attractions, guest services, parties, and food & beverage areas as needed. They ensure every guest interaction is professional and positive, maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the park, and assist in multiple departments through cross-training. What You'll Do Greet and assist guests, answer questions, and resolve concerns professionally or elevate to management when necessary Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas including attractions, party areas, redemption desks, dining areas, and walkways Wipe down surfaces, sweep, mop, empty trash, clean restrooms, and complete assigned cleaning tasks Assist with cleaning throughout the park when needed, even outside your primary work area Respond promptly to spills, trash, or hazards to help maintain a clean and safe environment for guests Immediately report equipment issues, safety concerns, or guest incidents to management Cross-train in other areas of the park and assist based on operational needs Communicate effectively with team members and leadership throughout shifts Maintain a safety-focused, high-quality customer service attitude at all times Understand and follow emergency procedures for all trained areas Perform other duties as assigned by management Role Specializations All Team Members may be assigned to one or more of the following positions based on operational needs, scheduling, and cross-training status. Attraction Operator Monitor and operate rides and attractions in compliance with all safety procedures Conduct pre-opening safety checks and report equipment issues immediately Enforce height, weight, and health restrictions professionally and consistently Manage guest queues and maintain safe crowd flow Respond calmly and appropriately to ride malfunctions or guest incidents Complete required safety certifications prior to operating attractions independently Serve as a primary point of contact for guests at entry points, redemption desks, or guest services Process admissions, wristbands, memberships, and redemption transactions accurately Answer questions regarding pricing, hours, events, and amenities Address guest concerns professionally and elevate when necessary Maintain an organized and welcoming service area Assist with upselling packages, memberships, and add-ons when appropriate Prepare and serve food and beverages according to food safety standards Operate point-of-sale systems and process transactions accurately Maintain cleanliness of food prep areas, counters, and dining spaces Monitor and restock supplies and notify management when inventory is low Follow all health department regulations and safe food handling procedures May involve prolonged standing in a warm kitchen environment Groups & Party Attendant Set up and break down party rooms according to event packages Greet party guests and assist throughout the event Coordinate timing with kitchen and attractions for food and activities Assist with party and event logistics Reset and clean party areas within designated turnaround times Communicate with party coordinators and management regarding schedules and special requests Shared Responsibility for Cleanliness Maintaining a clean park is a shared responsibility of all Team Members. Employees are expected to assist with cleaning tasks throughout their shift, including responding to spills, removing trash, wiping surfaces, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and keeping guest areas presentable. These responsibilities apply regardless of primary role or department assignment and are an essential part of providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests. Cross-Training & Pay Cross-training across the roles listed above is a standard condition of employment at Malibu Jack's. Team Members may be scheduled in any position for which they have been trained. Cross-training does not automatically result in a change in pay rate. Any pay adjustments are at the sole discretion of management.
