Join Our Skilled Surgical Team in Carville

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team in Carville. In this essential role, you will play a key part in preparing the operating room, assisting during surgeries, and maintaining a sterile field to ensure patient safety. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to the success of every procedure.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and organize the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
Maintain a sterile field during surgery, ensuring that sterile techniques are followed
Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and materials during procedures
Perform accurate counts of instruments and materials before, during, and after surgery
Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
Clean and restock the operating room after each procedure
Follow infection control protocols to maintain patient safety
Document surgical counts and other necessary patient information
Collaborate effectively with other surgical team members to ensure optimal patient care

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
Current BLS certification required
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
