Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Newborn Nursery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, L&D - fetal monitoring class within 2 years Must-Have: L&D experience of 2 years is required. Team player attitude. Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. The facility has 294 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited. Services provided include cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services. The location is 45 miles east of Raleigh. It is 2 hours from the coast and 1 hour from major universities. There is a 15-minute drive to a nearby lake. The facility features a historic stadium nearby. Meditech experience is preferred. Unit Information: The position involves working on the 2nd floor. The trauma level is unspecified. This role requires floating, as needed, for low census. Patient population includes OB, postpartum, and GYN with med/surge overflow. The unit consists of 6 beds and 1 triage/ recovery room. Common diagnoses include hips and knees cases. Patient ratios per AWHONN standards apply. Equipment used includes GE Centricity/ Meditech EHR. Supervision is provided by a qualified nurse. Dress code includes hospital-supplied scrubs. Any professional scrub attire is acceptable for other specialties.
