Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team. The CVT will play a key role in supporting our veterinarians, delivering excellent patient care, and ensuring smooth hospital operations. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and administer medications as directed
Monitor anesthesia and provide surgical nursing support
Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology, etc.)
Take and interpret radiographs in compliance with safety standards
Provide compassionate nursing care, including monitoring hospitalized patients
Communicate clearly with clients regarding patient care, home care instructions, and preventative health
Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of equipment and instruments
Support a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment

Qualifications

Current certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT)
Associate degree in Veterinary Technology (or equivalent) required
Strong technical and nursing skills in a general practice setting
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Compassionate, detail-oriented, and reliable
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
