Medical Assistant - Internal Medicine Group Job Description: Mill City Medical Group (MCMG) is seeking a Clinical Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for providing clinical support to ensure efficient delivery of primary health care and creating a positive patient experience. This role will be full-time. Duties/Responsibilities: Work closely with the clinical care team to deliver the best care for our patients.Ensure patients have a positive experience whether in-person or on the phone.Interview patients regarding medical concerns and obtain medical history.Prepare patients and treatment rooms for exams. Drape patients and position instruments and equipment.Measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height. Record vital signs and other health-related issues on patients charts.Set-up EKG machines, administer injections, and perform routine specimen collection and tests.Assist in performing routine medical procedures as requested.Assist in patient education with related educational tools, periodicals, flyers, and handouts.Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.Maintain patient confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA regulation.Provide medical triage via telephone to patients as needed.Assisting with front office duties as needed.Help with scheduling appointments and referrals.All other duties as assigned. Education, Licensure, & Certification Requirements: High School diploma or equivalentGraduate of a Medical Assistant program or LPN.Must have proficient computer skillsAbility to work with a variety of teams and practice locationsPrevious experience as a Patient Service Representative also considered.
