Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00). Weekends required every other week as needed.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a short-term acute care setting. The successful candidate will be proficient in managing a caseload of patients, ensuring their safety and well-being, and collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to medical-surgical patients with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.
• Float between units as required based on unit needs.
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Participate in patient assessments and care planning.
• Implement infection control measures and adhere to isolation precautions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid WA or Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Experience using the Epic charting system is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Charge experience is preferred but not mandatory.
