Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, including those of the abdomen, obstetric and gynecological fields, vascular imaging, and small parts analysis
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures by clearly explaining each step in a compassionate manner
• Work in close partnership with radiologists and referring clinicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Skillfully operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain patient records within the electronic medical record system
• Commit to ongoing education in ultrasound imaging techniques and industry best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a comparable field
• Preferred: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent credential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred
