Associate Civil Engineer

The Public Works Department is looking for a new Associate Civil Engineer. Become a key player on the City of Redding’s engineering team and help build Redding’s future through successful capital projects. ✅ Family healthcare from $224.51/pay period (high-deductible medical plan available at no cost) We Are Looking for Someone to Design and prepare plans and specifications for capital improvement projects Review the engineering plans and work of consultants and contractors Prepare detailed specifications for the purchase of materials or major equipment Prepare and assist in the preparation of specific reports and studies for Council presentation and for other City-sponsored study groups Conduct field inspections of projects to ensure contract enforcement Prepare oral and/or written reports for staff and management as appropriate Qualifications We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in civil engineering Five (5) years of progressively responsible, relevant experience using civil engineering principles Registration as a professional engineer (PE) in the State of California or in another state that has reciprocity.
