Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiation Oncologist , you will be a pivotal clinician delivering the highest quality patient care and radiation therapy expertise within our Colorado healthcare system. This role involves comprehensive radiation oncology services, both in a dedicated treatment center and ambulatory clinic settings , while contributing to clinical quality improvement initiatives and community benefit programs, ensuring access to top-tier cancer care for our patients. Every day you will provide expert ambulatory care, plan and deliver essential radiation treatments (including external beam, brachytherapy, and other advanced modalities) , and meticulously manage medical records to current policy standards. You will actively comply with all managed care programs, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal/state reimbursement plans, including our ethical and religious directives. Furthermore, you will lead and participate in various activities focused on promoting clinical excellence and quality improvement within radiation oncology services , engage in medical staff committees, and, when assigned, provide crucial on-call coverage to support our community's urgent needs. To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist with an active Colorado medical license (or eligibility to obtain one), demonstrating a commitment to continuously developing personal and professional competence through ongoing medical education and maintaining applicable board certification. We seek candidates who embody the highest standards of medical ethics, possess strong communication skills for patient and administrative interactions, and are dedicated to actively engaging in hospital operational matters, peer review, quality improvement, and providing impactful community benefit services, including charity care. Serve as a pivotal Radiation Oncologist in Colorado, delivering highest quality patient care and radiation therapy expertise in dedicated treatment and ambulatory clinic settings. Daily responsibilities include providing expert ambulatory care, planning and delivering essential radiation treatments (external beam, brachytherapy, etc.), and meticulously managing medical records to policy standards. Actively comply with managed care programs, Medicare, Medicaid, federal/state reimbursement plans, and ethical directives, while leading/participating in quality improvement, engaging in medical staff committees, and providing on-call coverage. Job Requirements Required Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty. Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency ("DEA") registration; Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital; Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution Doctorate MD or DO required DR-Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state required Where You'll Work Pueblo, Colorado, presents an appealing option for providers seeking a vibrant community with a lower cost of living than many Colorado cities.
