Certified Athletic Trainer - High School Or College Setting
MLR Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team in Ohio. The ideal candidate will be committed to prioritizing the safety and well-being of athletes, offering exceptional care. This position includes on-site athletic training coverage at designated schools and community events, with an emphasis on injury prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Educational Requirements:
- Minimum Level: Bachelor's degree
- Degree Type: Bachelor of Science or equivalent
- Major/Area of Study: Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field
- Preferred Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Athletic Training license in Ohio
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site athletic training services at assigned schools and community events.
- Offer injury prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Premier Health standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends through continuing education.
- Participate in public speaking events to promote sports medicine awareness and education.
- Contribute to cost management initiatives within the sports medicine department.
- Deliver excellent customer service to athletes and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the sports medicine team to improve overall effectiveness.
