C Shift Machine Operator Rewind

The Rewind Operator is responsible for keeping the rewinders up and running. Backup rewind operator. Perform other tasks as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to: Receives job assignments from Press Supervisor or Team Lead; reads job specifications and selects correct cores and rewind method for job Reviews the job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed. Inspect products to ensure quality integrity and package products Observes the flow of material through the machine to detect irregular cutting and winding Ensure quality of work includes color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity of packaged items being shipped Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging converting jobs. Perform preventative maintenance on machines Remove or replace blades on inspection machines Completes paperwork for each job and packages finished goods for shipment to the customer. Keeps work areas clean, clear, and organized; maintains housekeeping standards Qualifications & Skills Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Excellent time management with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks Team player Experience in flexo printing in general is a plus Ability to use common tools. Ability to understand and follow directions as given. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to climb a ladder and step a stool.
