Claims Monitoring Counsel

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced mid‑to‑senior level attorney to join their Professional Consulting Practice Group in Dallas, TX. The role involves providing risk management and claims monitoring services, with a focus on large complex infrastructure projects across the United States and Canada. Duties Provide specialized risk management and claims avoidance mitigation advice. Conduct contract reviews and seminars. Investigate, evaluate, and monitor the defense of complex professional liability claims. Act as a liaison to underwriters and senior claim adjusters. Offer strategic input and evaluate defense strategies. Develop and manage resolution strategies. Interface with clients, insurers, and other project participants. Negotiate resolution of claims. Evaluate, manage, and provide strategic direction on significant complex construction disputes and litigation matters. Engage in risk management of high‑value claims on large, complex projects. Engage and manage local counsel on a substantive basis. Collaborate with stakeholders and industry experts to resolve complex disputes. Requirements Experience in complex civil litigation, preferably in the construction arena, claims management, or the design/construction industry. Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Admission to practice in any of the 50 United States. Interest in construction projects. Skills Superior research and writing skills. Ability to multi‑task and analyze complex matters.
