Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 4 x 9-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, rotating day off | Expected 36 hours/week | Call shifts required: one weeknight per week (4:30 PM – 7:00 AM) and one weekend (48 hours) of call approximately every 6–7 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Perform OR circulating nurse duties for surgical patients in a 1:1 ratio across multiple service lines
• Participate in weeknight and weekend on-call rotations as scheduled
• Assist with room turnovers alongside the full OR team as part of shared unit responsibilities
• Operate standard OR equipment and document accurately within an EPIC EMR system
• Occasionally assist on other units during low-census periods on an as-needed basis

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for practice in Maine
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required (for call coverage)
• Minimum 5 years of OR circulating experience
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred alongside clinical experience
• Experience in a smaller facility OR environment with exposure to multiple surgical service lines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Orthopedics, Urology, OB/GYN, General Surgery, or ENT
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in a community hospital setting
• Team-oriented approach with willingness to assist across all OR functions
