About the Role As a CAD Designer, you will perform design/drafting assignments, requiring advanced working knowledge of design standards, practices and techniques using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Map 3D while working collaboratively in a global team environment. We are seeking an innovative CAD Designer to help us grow and deliver electrical transmission and distribution and renewable generation projects in North America. The role will require working with a team of designers, engineers, scientists, and GIS professionals across our global network. You will lead the creation of drawings from conceptual through final design, including preparation of single-line diagrams, general civil plans, grading, access road layouts, drainage and stormwater management plans, utility plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and alignments and profiles for linear underground and overhead energy projects. Responsibilities Setup projects in CAD, coordinate data sources and manage user access Provide CAD leadership and production support for project teams, including Project Execution Plan documentation, project kick-off meetings, file exports and client deliverable coordination. Work with diverse teams to meet clients’ needs as a cohesive unit, delivering bold solutions. Collaborate across the global team to maximize design, digital technology, and support capabilities of the Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. What You’ll Need Associate’s degree or equivalent experience. At least 5 years’ experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or AutoCAD Map 3D Advanced experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and ProjectWise Knowledge and experience with civil design projects including using data from topographic surveys, DTMs, performing grading, and utility layouts Proficiency with general office software (Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams). Ability to work independently and with various disciplines to manage multiple tasks and projects, and to anticipate, identify, and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner. Ideal Candidate PLS-CADD or ArcGIS Pro/Online Experience. Bentley Microstation, OpenRoads, or OpenBuildings Experience Knowledge of Revit to Civil 3D workflows Knowledge of the energy industry Understands project workflows from concept, detailed design, estimation, bidding, and construction documentation, administration, and support Autodesk Certified Professional. The base salary range for this position is $75,900.00 to $99,675.00; the position is paid hourly based on hours worked. Pay is determined by work location and other factors.
