Support TechnicianThe Technology Support Technician provides hardware, software, and technical support to end users within the organization. Support is delivered both on-site and remotely, ensuring efficient and effective technology operations across the district.Qualifications:· High School Diploma or GED from an accredited HS or GED Program (required)· Certifications (preferred, e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+ or equivalent)· College degree (preferred)Special Knowledge Skills:· Customer service and ability to work in fast-paced environments· Logical troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues· Ability to be self-sufficient and self-taught· Ability to work well in a team environment· Knowledge of computer systems, software, and networks - including, but not limited to Microsoft operating systems, software, and networks· Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team setting· Strong written and verbal communication abilities· Professional demeanor and appearanceMajor Responsibilities and Duties:· Provide excellent customer service and technical support by phone, email, and in-person· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues· Perform device setup, imaging, maintenance, and upgrades (e.g., laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, Apple devices, IFP, printers)· Document issues, solutions, and inventory in the work order system· Assist with the installation and maintenance of software and operating systems· Support interactive whiteboards, projectors, and other classroom technologies· Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity support· Collaboration with team members on technology-related projects· Campus Collaboration· Escalate complex issues to higher-level technicians or supervisors as necessary· Maintain accurate records and ensure timely resolution of issues· Campus technology inventory· Device repairsWorking Conditions:· Maintain emotional control under stress.· Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.· Frequent standing and district-wide travel.· Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment up to 40 lbs· Reliable transportation required for work-related travelThe foregoing statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or skills that may be required.
