Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Two Pharmacy Technician positions are available to support pharmacy operations at a busy county hospital medical center in Ventura, CA. This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to apply pharmacy technician skills in a fast-paced, hospital environment known for quality patient care. The assignment starts as soon as possible and lasts for 13 weeks or more, offering hands-on experience with medications and prescriptions in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Location:

• Ventura, CA (county hospital medical center)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain medication inventory and ensure proper storage and labeling
• Verify prescription information and respond to requests from healthcare staff
• Support compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy team and other medical departments

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician or equivalent training and experience
• Experience in hospital or institutional pharmacy settings preferred
• Knowledge of medication names, doses, and pharmacy workflows
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively under fast-paced conditions
