After an incredible journey serving as CFO of Steel Encounters, I am excited to be transitioning into the CEO role. As part of this transition, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to join our executive leadership team and help lead the next chapter of growth for our 100% employee-owned company. Steel Encounters is a leading structural steel and building envelope contractor serving markets across the western United States, with a strong reputation for financial strength, operational excellence, and long-term partnerships.

This is more than a traditional finance role. Our CFO serves as a strategic business partner, working closely with executive leadership, the Board of Directors, employee-owners, banking and surety partners, and operational leaders to drive performance, manage risk, and create long-term enterprise value.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction accounting experience
• Minimum 5 years of senior accounting or finance leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, insurance, bonding, and risk mitigation
• Exposure to and understanding of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs)
• CPA, MBA, or other relevant graduate degree
• Demonstrated integrity, leadership, and ability to build trusted relationships throughout an organization
