Material Handling Specialist

Material Handler – Light IndustrialSeeking a Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations at Hill Air Force Base. The selected candidate will perform material handling, inventory, shipping/receiving, and stock replenishment activities. This is a physically active role requiring frequent standing, lifting, moving materials, and working with inventory systems.Key Responsibilities:Load, unload, move, and organize materials within the facility, warehouse, or worksite.Perform shipping and receiving activities as directed.Open containers using hand tools and inspect/count materials.Record quantities, weights, and inventory information accurately.Load and unload materials onto pallets, racks, trays, conveyors, and equipment.Sort and place materials into designated Bench Stock Locations (BSL).Perform inventory checks using a Windows tablet.Use handheld scanners/tablets to order and replenish materials.Transport materials using carts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.Maintain organized and safe work areas.Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.Required Skills & Qualifications:2–4 years of experience in material handling, warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or similar roles preferred.Ability to perform physically demanding work and remain on feet for most of the shift.Strong oral and written communication skills.Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office/Microsoft Suite.Ability to use tablets, scanners, and inventory systems.Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Education Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Must be a U.S. Citizen due to facility access requirements at Hill Air Force Base.
