Position Overview Development & operation of internal developer platform for IaC-based Developer Self Service integrating with a wide variety of infrastructure and platform components (Python, Yaml, GitLab & GitHub CI, Ansible and more) Development of a Kubernetes-based application deployment to replace the VM-based Ansible deployment (ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize, GitOps) Development, implementation & operation of the Kubernetes infrastructure (Currently Rancher, perspectively k0s, Ceph storage, virtual and bare-metal hosts) Further development of the Ansible-based IaC landscape Troubleshooting of complex problems in distributed systems Main Tasks Kubernetes Cluster Mastery: Lead the management, operation, development, and continuous improvement of our Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications, maintaining highly stable and reliable environments for our services. Advanced Linux Infrastructure Management: Employ advanced techniques and orchestration technologies, including Ansible and OpenTofu, to efficiently manage, develop, and optimize our Linux-based systems and virtual machines (VMs), ensuring exceptional performance, maintainability, and reliability. Security Expertise and Compliance Leadership: Spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge security measures, backup strategies, and compliance initiatives to fortify our data and systems. Continuously monitor incidents and execute prompt responses to maintain the pinnacle of system reliability. Provide Expert‑Level User Support: Offer advanced technical support to users, resolving complex queries and concerns promptly, and ensuring an impeccable user experience. Meticulous Documentation Management: Create, update, maintain, and enhance comprehensive documentation to foster transparency and facilitate efficient knowledge sharing within the team. Oversee Complex IT Projects: Take a senior role in the planning, execution, and management of critical IT projects, guaranteeing their successful delivery and alignment with strategic objectives. Advanced Training: Share your deep expertise and knowledge with colleagues, mentoring them to attain advanced proficiency in specific applications and tools. Platform Architecture: Design and architect the platform to ensure it meets current and future business needs, incorporating scalability, reliability, and security considerations. Platform Ownership Assume full ownership of the TP Cloud Platform at all stages, ensuring its uninterrupted operation, peak performance, and continual innovation. Toolchain Management: Lead the management of development and collaboration tools, as well as various infrastructure management tools, employing the latest best practices. Infrastructure Excellence: Maintain, optimize, and innovate network, server infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, database environments, leveraging advanced technologies and strategies. Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning and decision‑making processes to enhance the overall IT infrastructure and IT infrastructure services. Development & Operation of an Internal Developer Platform: Focus on IaC-based Developer Self Service. Kubernetes‑based Application Deployment: Develop and implement Kubernetes‑based application deployments to replace VM‑based Ansible deployments. Development, Introduction & Operation of Kubernetes Infrastructure: Utilize Rancher for Kubernetes infrastructure development.
