How you'll make an impact in this role

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care that supports patient safety, comfort, and positive health outcomes.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage specialized Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) therapies by safely performing manual or automated exchanges, maintaining sterile technique, and assessing catheter sites to deliver life-sustaining care and prevent infection (such as peritonitis).
• Deliver expert acute med-surg and post-operative care by conducting rigorous clinical assessments, managing pain and surgical wounds, and closely monitoring fluid and electrolyte status to promote smooth post-surgical recoveries.
• Execute medical and nephrology care plans by precisely carrying out physician orders, administering medications, and tracking subtle changes in patient conditions to ensure rapid, high-quality interventions.
• Coordinate holistic, multidisciplinary care with nephrologists, surgeons, dietitians, and discharge planners to guide seamless transitions, optimize long-term renal health, and support safe discharge home.
• Empower patients and caregivers through hands-on education regarding PD home routines, medication regimens, and post-surgical recovery care to build independence and confidence.

Qualifications
