Warehouse Technician

Job Title: Warehouse Technician (Project-Based - As Needed)
Pay Rate - $19.00+ per hour (Based upon Experience)

Project Overview:
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Technicians to support a data center decommissioning project. This is a project-based, as-needed engagement and is not a full-time or 40-hour-per-week position.

Position Summary:
Technicians will assist with logistics and warehouse-related activities involving decommissioned equipment that has already been removed from production racks. This role does not involve equipment installation, cabling, rack work, or decommissioning activities. Instead, technicians will focus on preparing equipment for shipment according to established procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Collect decommissioned equipment from designated onsite locations.
• Inspect equipment for shipment readiness.
• Properly pack equipment using provided packaging materials.
• Generate and apply shipping labels using a provided thermal printer.
• Organize and palletize packaged equipment.
• Prepare pallets for carrier pickup and shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records.
• Follow all site-specific safety and operational procedures.
• Keep work areas organized and clean throughout the project.

Engagement Details:

• Project-based / intermittent work.
• Hours will vary based on project needs.
• Technicians will receive work assignments via email from the Dispatch team. Each ticket will include the scheduled date, site location, and scope of work.
• Upon receiving and accepting a ticket, technicians will be expected to complete the assigned work within an estimated 6-8-hour service window.
• Assignment frequency will vary based on customer demand and project requirements.
• Opportunity for future project assignments based on performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, logistics, inventory, shipping/receiving, or data center technician experience preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable lifting and moving equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

Preferred Experience:

• Data center, IT asset disposition (ITAD), or hardware logistics experience.
• Experience using shipping software, barcode scanners, or thermal printers.
• Familiarity with palletizing and freight shipment preparation.
