Design Engineer

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Littleton/Waterton, CO. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification. Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle. Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers. Experience in presentations and in written communication skills. Missile design experience. 3+ years professional experience. Experience in digital circuit design at the card/board level schematic and analysis. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES As a Circuit Design Engineer, you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art Avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment. Design/Capture electrical schematics and guide the PCB board layouts. Perform electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis. Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world class avionics systems. Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and generation, review and presentation of Product Certification, and also support system level testing. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) Experience with a combination of design, test, operations and systems engineering disciplines. Experience in schematic capture using Xpedition or similar tools. Experience with PSPICE, Saber or other electronics simulation tool experience. Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis). Experience performing failure Investigation on electronic hardware (CCA, Unit, and System Level). Demonstrated good communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members. Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems. Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment. REQUIRED EDUCATION Accredited Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
