In-House Corporate Counsel (Contracts Manager)

Join an established organization as In-House Corporate Counsel, focusing heavily on contract drafting, review, & negotiation. This role will advise leadership on commercial agreements while supporting intellectual property, licensing, media, marketing, & data privacy matters. Who You Are You have 7+ years of legal experience in contracts, intellectual property, marketing, and/or data privacy & security You hold a Bachelor’s degree and J.D. from an accredited law school You are admitted and in good standing with at least one state bar; New York admission is preferred You bring strong contract drafting, negotiation, communication, & organizational skills HighQ experience is preferred; nonprofit experience is a plus What You’ll Do Draft, review, & negotiate vendor, sponsorship, advertising, licensing, broadcasting, media, & other commercial agreements Interpret contract terms and advise executives, boards, & staff on legal and business implications Support intellectual property, branding, marketing, licensing, & media initiatives Advise on data privacy, security, & regulatory matters and manage outside IP counsel Partner with the General Counsel on legal, compliance, & insurance matters What Success Looks Like Contracts are reviewed and negotiated accurately, efficiently, & with business objectives in mind Leadership receives clear, practical guidance on contractual risk and obligations Legal interests are protected across commercial, intellectual property, & regulatory matters Hourly Range: $60-$80, based on experience Location: New York (hybrid) Gainor is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
