Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence. Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-exempt interstate DOT medical card required. 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years. 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents. Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. This role requires English language proficiency (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)). Work the required schedule, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening. The position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Physical Requirements Must meet the physical and mental demands described; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities. Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Movement: regularly lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs. Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
