Walk-In Interviews

Walk-In Hours: Tuesday-Thursday 9a-12p

Location: 5310 Route 9 West, Newburgh, NY 12550

Pay: $22.55-$29.10/hr

Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 for fully licensed drivers of a big bus (BPS)

Guaranteed Hours: 20 per week

Who Makes a Great School Bus Driver?

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds:

• New to commercial driving, we provide training

• Experienced drivers, CDL-A/B, delivery, shuttle, transit

• Veterans and military service members

• Parents, retirees, and those seeking part-time or split-shift work

• Customer service, retail, hospitality, camp counselors, coaches, school support staff, medical transport drivers, nursing home drivers, patient transfer specialists, trades, and mechanics

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes

• Transport students to and from school, sports, and events

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Maintain a clean, safe bus environment

• Communicate courteously with students, parents, and school staff

• Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety rules

Pay range for routed drivers is: $22.55-29.10/hour Sign-on Bonus: Up to $2500 (must be fully licensed) PTO/Sick accrual

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Must possess, or be able to obtain, all valid applicable state licenses and required certifications to operate company vehicles

• Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening

• Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training

• Must practice defensive driving and safe work habits at all times

• Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract-specific driver requirements
